Why Lean and not Lean Six Sigma?

Lean and Lean Six Sigma are both similar in that they focus on the voice of the customer, use standardised approaches to solve business problems and have a common tool kit, however they do vary.  Lean Practitioner will use more practical approaches to solve business problems.  Less time and effort is required to understand the statistical approach of six sigma.  Lean Practitioner training also focus on the culture of change needed in any business and how to implement that new culture.  Flow systems are covered in more detail to enable any business to become more productive, carry less inventory and reduce costs.  Lean Practitioner training is perfect for anyone looking to quickly and easily make improvements.

What is a Lean Practitioner?

A Lean Practitioner is the highest qualification in Lean.  They champion the use of Lean within companies and look at ways to change the culture of organisations.  Lean Practitioners will work on projects to identify and eliminate waste, reduce costs, improve customer satisfaction and make a measurable difference.  They will understand a wide range of business improvement tools and techniques and utilise them as required. Lean practitioners may also coach or train Lean improvement team members on process improvement methods and activities.

What is the difference between Lean Practitioner, Master, Leader?
